LUANGWA CONSERVATION AND COMMUNITY FUND
Over two decades ago, a passionate group of tourism professionals came together to combat poaching in and around the South Luangwa National Park. The Luangwa Conservation and Community Fund (LCCF), initiated by Andy Hogg of The Bushcamp Company in 2011, played a pivotal role in providing early funding, which enabled the growth and success of various conservation initiatives, including ZCP. This foundational support allowed us to expand our operations and secure further funding for our vital conservation work.
At ZCP, our partnership with lodges and tour operators remains integral to our mission. These collaborations provide essential financial and in-kind support, as well as crucial reports on wildlife and illegal activities. Working closely with LCCF members, we strive to protect the unique wildlife and ecosystems of the Luangwa Valley. The flexible funds donated by LCCF members empower us to adapt, grow, and respond to the ever-changing conservation landscape.
Every year, LCCF members collectively contribute hugely to support our conservation efforts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mfuwe Lodge and The Bushcamp Company, Chiawa Safaris, Flatdogs Camp and Gavin Opie Safaris, for their unwavering support.
